FAQ

Question: How do I change my email password?

Answer: If your email address ends with @nlis.ca then you can change your password at any time by logging into the webmail at http://mail.nlis.ca with your current email address and password, then clicking on the "settings" link in the top right corner.

You should then see some options including "change password". Follow the instructions to change your password.

If your email address ends in @nolimitsinternet.com, then you will need to use this form to change your email password.

Question: What settings do I need to know in order to access my email?

Answer: The most important settings to know if you are setting up an email client to check your @nlis.ca email account is the incoming and outgoing mail server addresses. Both incoming (POP3 and IMAP) and outgoing (SMTP) servers should be set to "mail.nlis.ca" (without the quotes).

More information about which server names and ports to use can be found at: Support/Email Server Info.

Question: What is WebMail and how can I access it?

Answer: A good description from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
The term Webmail (or Web-based e-mail) is used to describe two things. One use of the word is to describe a Webmail client: an email client implemented as a web application accessed via a web browser.

You can access your nlis.ca webmail here: http://mail.nlis.ca from anywhere in the world.

Question: Why am I getting an error in Windows Live Mail

Answer: By far the most common error message that has been reported by Windows Live Mail users is "Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x0800CCC0E" or "Windows Live Mail Error Id: 0x80070057". This error appears to be related to the default behavior of the Windows Live Mail client when attempting to send an email with an attachment (not only images). From our research and testing, it appears that this error occurs when sending a message with an attachment where you either do not have a Windows Live account or are not signed into your Windows Live account.

Windows Live is basically the replacement for Outlook Express and the new name for the services that make up hotmail and are in no way affiliated with us or our service.

We strongly recommend against using this program and would suggest checking out Mozilla Thunderbird instead.

Question: Do I have to install something on my property to use your internet service?

Answer: In most cases we will install a small antenna (smaller than a satellite dish) on the building where you need the internet. In some cases, we will install up to a 15' pole with a 3' tripod, unless you already have a old TV aerial or small tower in place to which we can attach our equipment.

Keep in mind that no two installations are exactly alike and circumstances may call for something different.

Question: What is a virus? A hacker? Spyware/Malware?

Answer: There is really no simple answer for these questions, but this Wikipedia page devoted to the term Hacker is a good place to start.
This Wikipedia page discusses the definition of a computer virus, and this page is devoted to the subject of Malware.

Question: Why can't I connect to a wireless network with my iPad?

Answer: Many Apple iPad users are experiencing iPad WiFi problems like poor wi-fi network connection, weak signal strength, fluctuating signal and variable wifi speeds. Here are some troubleshooting steps from quickonlinetips.com that we recommend trying first.

Question: Where can I get help with a problem using or playing Farmville?

Answer: If you have any problems with this game, please refer to the support options available on their website.

as this game is in no way affiliated with us or our service, there is really not a lot that we can do in the way of diagnosing and troubleshooting any problems you may have playing the game.

Here are some things that you can try first before checking the farmville user forums or contacting their support people.

Try disabling any add-ons and toolbars running in Internet Explorer.

Try using a different browser like Google Chrome (http://www.google.com/chrome) or Mozilla Firefox (http://getfirefox.com) to play the game and see if you get the same result.

Try removing and re-installing your Flash player (instructions for this can be found here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html) and Java runtime environment (troubleshooting steps for this can be found here: http://www.ehow.com/way_5716807_troubleshooting-java-runtime-environment...).

If the above steps fail, your next best option would be to have a look at the Farmville Support section here: http://www.farmville.com/support.php, or their troubleshooting section here: http://zynga.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/600

Some other troubleshooting steps…

Many of the problems can be solved by clearing cache, setting flash global file settings to “unlimited” and clearing the flash cache, enabling third party flash cache, closing other applications and restarting your web browser. It might also help to try different browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or even Microsoft Internet Explorer. Flash settings are global, but be sure to clear the browser cache on each browser.
